The IMBC Difference

All about our cakes and what makes Italian Meringue Buttercream special.

Why don't more bakeries use IMBC?
Because it takes time. A single batch can take 30–45 minutes and requires a candy thermometer, careful technique, and high-quality butter. We think it's worth it.
What flavours and fillings do you offer?
Our standard sponges are vanilla, chocolate, and chocolate flaked, paired with whipped cream or IMBC fillings (vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry) — see our Menu for full pricing. We also love custom flavours: red velvet, lemon, funfetti, fruit purées, citrus zest, espresso, and more. IMBC takes flavour beautifully, so just tell us what you're dreaming of.
What's the difference between a Custom Cake and a Signature Cake?
Our Signature Cakes are five tried-and-true flavour combinations we've perfected — like our Diplomat Cake or Chocolate Flaked Cake. They come ready to order in any size, and you can still add toppers, edible images, or other decorative finishes. Custom Cakes are fully build-your-own: choose your sponge, filling, and details from scratch.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or allergies?
We can accommodate many requests — please mention any allergies or dietary needs in your inquiry. Note that our home kitchen handles eggs, dairy, gluten, and tree nuts, so we may not be suitable for severe allergies.
How far in advance should I order?
Signature cakes: at least 1 week. Custom cakes: 1–2 weeks. Tiered or wedding cakes: 3–4 weeks. Grazing tables: 2–3 weeks (or more for peak season). Boards and last-minute requests may be possible — just ask.

What goes into our boards and grazing tables, and how to choose the right size for your event.

What's included in a charcuterie board?
Each board features premium cured meats (typically prosciutto and salami), three artisan cheeses including Boursin, two cracker varieties, fresh seasonal fruit, a nut mix, a small honey jar, and fresh herbs for garnish.
How many people does each board feed?
Small boards feed 4–6 people, medium boards feed 8–12, and large boards feed 15–20. Grazing tables are custom-quoted and serve 20+ guests.
What's the difference between a board and a grazing table?
Boards are pre-assembled and ready to serve — perfect for hosting and gifting. Grazing tables are larger, fully styled setups with serving boards and décor included, ideal for weddings, showers, and corporate events with 20+ guests.
How long do boards stay fresh?
Boards are best enjoyed within a few hours of pickup. If you need to refrigerate, cover loosely with plastic wrap and bring to room temperature 30 minutes before serving for best flavour.

How to order, payment, delivery areas, and lead times.

How do I place an order?
Use the inquiry form on our website to share your event details. We'll respond within 24 hours with a quote and confirm availability.
What should I include in my inquiry?
The more we know, the better we can tailor your order. Helpful details include your event date, guest count, any flavour or style preferences, allergies, and your budget. If you have inspiration photos, you can attach them directly through the order form — they're a huge help for custom cake designs.
Do you deliver, or is it pickup only?
Charcuterie boards are pickup only from Richmond Hill. Custom grazing tables include setup at your venue as part of the package. Cakes can be delivered within the GTA for a flat fee based on distance — under 10 km is $25, 10–25 km is $45, and beyond 25 km is $65. You'll see delivery options when you fill out the order form.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in Richmond Hill and serve the Greater Toronto Area for grazing tables and special events.
How does payment work?
A 50% deposit confirms your order, with the balance due before pickup or delivery. We accept e-transfer, Visa, and Mastercard.
